![]() I think I'm doing a quite civilized format of expressing my opinion repeatedly on them as long as they persist, precisely with the intent to add what little I can to the hope of changing things for the better. The longer the playerbase in general turns a blind eye to obvious issues, the longer they'll remain. I did not cross any rules as far as I'm aware and I'd expect some more neutrality from a moderator. But hey at least the artists got it easy, we no longer have permanently snow covered areas, now it's autogenerated in a technology so advanced, it covers the entire continent in snow under 5 seconds and it melts away in 5 seconds too, based on RNG spawning so you might play the game for a year and never see snow (aside from 3 races that have it by design) for more than 10 minutes if at all.Īnd to top it all, the Crew 2 graphical engine is so advanced, they managed to make several cities look so much worse than the Crew 1 (examples linked in another comment here) regarding textures and complexity, that it immediately hit me as an avid Crew 1 player that there is something I have to fix because this feels uglier than the previous game from 5 years ago. The Crew 2 is so tecnologically advanced there are several swamps that are flat ground with some water and literally ONE bush copy-pasted over and over like some early 90s first 3D game, and should you dare to zoom out a bit on the map, all the streets disappear and suddenly you have cities built on dirt road while the buildings become a simple cube of grey texture. I guess it's an artist achievement that Forza's winter looks a billion times better, actually has effect on handling of the cars, that autumn comes with falling leaves your car can spread out, not to mention the several enviromental factors that effect both driving model and visuals such as mud, or has actual physics so it feels like I'm driving a car not just walking around in a TPS with the forward button continually pushed down. So this is why the Crew 2 has no functioning mirrors at all in FPS view, in any car and instead shows a messy blur of a repeating texture like it's a gif. So this is why the much more technologically advanced Crew 2's headlights are non-functional it's essentially a half transparent white texture triangle you push ahead of yourself. I might do more at another time.)Īh so that's why chrome actually reflects the enviroment in Forza while it's a fake mess of a texture in the Crew 2. (I will add that I feel I can make some more comparisons through different areas, so this isn't a complete test, just one done out of curiosity. Shine test: NFS 2015 > Payback > The Crew 2 Night test: NFS 2015 > The Crew 2 > Payback This may be due to a lower Gamma on my end but that has little effect on the shadow and shine emitted. NFS 2015 has a good realistic shadow under the car, and the reflection is dim enough to still have a car partially in darkness with a much darker night. Payback suffers from hard lighting not only on the car but on the ground too, having the dimmest shadow under the car. NFS 2015 is definitely the best allrounder for nighttime, coming first in Night test (mainly due to its set time thus removing the problem of time change graphical limitations) and in Shine test (due to wet texture reflection and a much more broad amount of shine brightness.) If you look at the shine tests, you can see that The Crew 2 has a good shine but the car and area around it is still very much brighter than its counterparts (that is as dark as night can get, due to a brighter moon emittance.) (NFS 2015 can alter between raining and no rain depending on location) One thing I noticed that Payback didn't have that the others had was clouds, and I noticed how much a difference that made it can get pretty boring having a clear sky all the time, especially only having one effect of weather. Even then, I'd have to choose Payback since it allows for a better shine quality. ![]() However, both have their issues on the Shine test, as The Crew 2 has hardly any shading and Payback has, in some cases, too much shading. Plus it also beats it on both times of day due to having a higher amount of reflection and shine. ![]() If you look at the Day test, Crew has a softer shadow effect and a heavier light effect than Payback. The Crew 2 may look very cartoonish in style, but for me thats more aesthetically pleasing than Payback. Thanks for the comments guys! I'll be sure to try some other comparisons soon, like Horizon 3 and 4 and Crew 1. ![]()

![]() ![]() This may happen if you have more than one version of SQL Monitor installed on your network and each version is using the same Data Repository database. The reason why deleting the offending files won't work is that SQL Source Control will notice that they're missing, and automatically put the files back again, which isn't what you want. SQL Monitor may become unlicensed without warning if a serial number is removed from the Licensing page. Instead for step 2 you need to use TortoiseSVN to update the working base to the SVN revision that the database backup corresponds to. The workaround Pete gave of deleting the offending files from the working base isn't quite right. Why both of these work is quite confusing UX though, so we recommend unlinking and re-linking. ![]() You can then use commit button to change the SVN repo to be the state of the backup, or you can use undo to change the database to be the state of the repository. If you just want to see the differences the commit tab is the easiest way to do it, but it's very confusing to look at (because the changes are the wrong way round). Alternatively you can unlink and relink which will give you a new "Working Base", with the effects that you observed. These changes can then be committed (on the commit tab), or undone (on the undo dialog). Therefore, the retrieve tab will be empty (as you observed, because the SVN repository hasn't changed, so there's nothing to retrieve), and the commit tab will show all the changes that restoring the backup has made to the database. All it knows is that your local database has been changed. When you restore the database backup (which essentially takes your local database back in time), SQL Source Control doesn't know that you've done that specific action. I'm one of the developers on SQL Source Control, and I just thought I'd explain a little more in depth what's going on. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After that, verify game files in Steam, launch Jurassic World Evolution 2, and it won’t crash anymore. The solution was to cover the face in cotton batting underneath the fabric. The fit was good, but a lot of seams and uneven spots was showing through. ![]() I took a test just stretching my fabric over the mask and taping it on the inside. Lastly, i narrowed down the eyes, as spidermans eyes are way to big.Īfter a last testfit, i was satisfied with the fit, visibility and breathability, and could move on. I went ahead and drilled some holes near where my nose is, and made the four holes according to the reference pictures. I tried the mask on, and realized i needed some more ventilation. Cut out the pattern, and transfer it to the worbla. ![]() To make sure the worbla you cut is the right size, you can make templates using masking tape, by taping onto the surface that needs covering, and drawing with a sharpie or pen. The water also helps to make sure that your fingers and tools dont stick to the worbla. I heated the worbla using my hot air gun, and removed any airbubbles or ugly seams with a sculpting tool dipped in water.Ī good tip is to always have a cup of ice cold water to dip your fingers in when working with worbla, as it gets really hot, and you are likely to hurt your fingers working with it. This along would be too soft for the faceshell i needed, so i took some brown Worbla (thermoplastic sheets) and started covering the mask with it (only on the outside!) I didnt really use a pattern here, but just cut out pieces that would fit it approximately. Using a sharp but cheap boxcutter, i cut it to shape according to the pepakura template, then superglue the edges together, before heating the entire faceshell gently with a hot air gun and giving it a better shape. Use pins to hold the template in place on the EVA foam when you trace out the patterns. Since the pepakura is inteded for Foam, i used some 2mm EVA foam to craft it. I found a great Pepakura file for a spiderman faceshell here: Also, for the sake of not having to wrap a turban around my head every time i wanted to wear it, i decided to make a faceshell ( a kind of mask that goes over your face, to prevent your facial details from showing ) and attach the cloth to it.
